Molly Strauss, M.D.

Dr. Strauss practiced general adult psychiatry. She has expertise and broad clinical experience in both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. Although her primary approach is individual treatment, she includes family members or significant others when appropriate. All treatment decisions are made collaboratively with her patients to best meet individual needs. Dr. Strauss specializes in evaluating and treating depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, panic disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, relationship and parenting issues and emotional distress related to medical illness. Her treatment approaches include insight-oriented, interpersonal, cognitive and psycho-educational psychotherapies as well as medication when needed. Dr. Strauss graduated from Duke University Medical School in 1979 and completed her residency in general adult psychiatry at the University of Washington in Seattle in 1983. She was board certified in Psychiatry in 1984 and has been active in the Washington Psychiatric Society's Continuing Education Committee.
